Data deletion
Last updated: October 22, 2026
You are in control of the data you put into Performdesk. You can remove it piece by piece yourself, or ask us to delete your whole account.
Delete things yourself
- Contacts: delete one contact from its row in the Contacts tab, delete several at once, or clear them all.
- Candidates: delete a candidate in the Candidates tab to remove their CV file, details, history (including rejection notes), project tags and any re-uploaded CV waiting for a decision. Delete a CV format to remove its sample file and images.
- Lists, workflows and tasks: delete any of them from their own tab. Deleting a workflow also removes its pending tasks.
- Connected mailboxes: delete an account in Email Accounts to remove its stored settings, encrypted password and tokens. For a mailbox linked with Microsoft or Google, choose Unlink first if you want to keep the account entry but drop the access.
- Revoke access at the source: you can also remove Performdesk's access in your Microsoft account (Apps and services) or Google account (Security, then Third-party access).
- Subscriptions: cancel an add-on in the Billing tab. See the Refund & Cancellation Policy.
Delete your whole account
To delete your account and everything in it, email support@performdesk.com with the subject or title "Delete my account", from the account you signed up with. If you raise a ticket, choose the topic "Account & login". We verify the request, cancel any subscription, and delete your account data within 30 days.
What we delete, and what we keep
We delete your account, contacts, lists, workflows, tasks, mailbox connections, documents, tickets and sending history. We keep only what the law requires us to keep, such as billing and tax records. Encrypted backups roll off on their normal schedule, which keeps about 30 days of daily snapshots, and a deleted account is not restored from them.
People you emailed
If you are a person who received an email sent through Performdesk and you want it to stop, use the unsubscribe link in that email. To ask us to delete your details from a customer's contact list, email support@performdesk.com and tell us which email address to remove. We may need to direct you to the business that sent the email, because they control their own contact list.
